A day spent washing, ironing, finding a place in the garden for plants in pots that might perish in the next two months and tying up loose ends. There seems to have been a disproportionate amount of extra planning needed for this trip which is only a couple of weeks longer than one we did last Autumn. Something to do with being novice travellers in Spain and Portugal, I suppose, lack of familiarity.
I gave the van a quick wash to remove the winter grime which had accumulated, then we filled the water tank and primed the system which was drained down to prevent any damage from freezing pipes. Now I'm shattered, I should sleep well for a change.
